About Brickvention

Brickvention is Australia’s premier LEGO fan convention. The highly anticipated annual event features a huge collection of LEGO models including trains, castles, pirates, Star Wars™, space ships, planes, buildings, sculptures and much more.

Play in the build zone, stock up on rare sets in the merchandise area and be inspired to build your own creations at Brickvention!

Brickvention is usually held at the Royal Exhibition Building, Nicholson Street, Carlton, Victoria. Details for the next event can be found on our homepage.

LEGO fans of all ages are welcome on the Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday from 9am to 4pm.

Brickvention is open to the public on Saturday from 9am til 5pm and Sunday from 9am til 4pm.

With over 300 exhibits, interactive zone, merchandise and retail areas and more, we recommend allowing a minimum of 1.5 hours to visit Brickvention. Having said that, there is so much to see that many people will spend much longer! Once you have entered you can stay as long as you like (until closing time on your ticketed day).

Pass outs will be available and you can leave to get lunch / refreshments or take a walk in the gardens before resuming your visit.

You will need to purchase a ticket for each Adult (16+) and Child (4-15) to enter Brickvention. Children aged 3 and under enter free.

We strongly recommend  purchasing tickets online in advance of the event to secure your entry time. Tickets may be available for purchase at the door if sessions are not at capacity, however we are unable to guarantee availability of tickets at the event.

Brickvention is organised and run each year by a team of volunteers. Additionally, all of our exhibitors who bring their amazing creations are volunteering their time to make this spectacular event. Because of this, we are limited to running Brickvention for one weekend only per year. We hope you will join us!

Tickets and Access

For Brickvention 2025, ticket prices are:

$30 for Adults (16+)

$20 for Children (4-15)

Free for Children 3 and under

Tickets purchased online in advance of the event may receive a discount. Please follow the Tickets menu at the top of the page for ticket availability and pricing.

We recommend purchasing tickets online in advance of your visit to secure your desired entry time.

Tickets may be available at the door, however only if session capacity has not been met. We cannot guarantee availability of tickets on the day of the event.

Brickvention tickets are listed with an entry time window. This is to reduce lengthy queues at the entrance and stagger access to the event. 

Please ensure you arrive during the time listed on your ticket. If you arrive prior to your time, you will be directed to join a queue for that entry time. If you arrive after your listed time, you will be directed to join the queue for the next session.

Yes! When you enter Brickvention you will be given a wristband, please ensure you are wearing it before you leave the building. We encourage you to exit the event to grab some lunch or some fresh air in the park before returning to see more of what Brickvention has to offer.

Tickets may be available at the door if sessions are not at capacity. However we strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance – not only will you receive a discount but your entry time is guaranteed.

Holders of a valid Companion Card, issued by any Australian state/territory, are entitled to bring one companion for free with their paid entry ticket. 

An attendee who requires a companion (and holds a valid Companion Card) should purchase a full price ticket for themselves and use the promo code COMPANION to add the free “companion” ticket to their order. You will need to provide the companion card number at checkout. When entering Brickvention, you will need to provide the valid Companion Card along with the free ticket.

Please note that holders of other types of carers/concession cards are NOT eligible for free entry.

 

Please check the email account used to purchase tickets, including your spam folder. If you are unable to locate them go to the Eventbrite website for help.

We understand that traffic or parking can be unpredictable. If you arrive later than your ticketed time please join the next timeslot queue for entry to the event. If you have any questions on your arrival, please look for our friendly volunteers in the blue vests.

Please note that there are no changes or refunds available if you arrive later than your ticketed time, or do not arrive on the day of your purchased ticket.

Getting to Brickvention

Brickvention is held at the Royal Exhibition Building, 9 Nicholson St Carlton VIC 3053. Link to Google MapsApple Maps.

Entry and exit is located on the Nicholson St side of the building. 

There is no on site parking at Brickvention. The Melbourne Museum (next door) has an underground car park which is open to the public. Details can be found on their website.

The Museum car park is usually full from early in the day on weekends. We strongly recommend planning in advance if you will be driving to Brickvention and research alternate parking in the event the car park is full.

Inside Brickvention

There are no restrictions on bringing prams in however during peak times it may be more difficult to move around with a pram.

In accordance with the Royal Exhibition Building’s requirements, only assistance animals may accompany their owners in the event. No other animals will be allowed.

Unfortunately the Royal Exhibition Building can become quite noisy during events. We recommend leaving the building and utilising the Carlton Gardens (adjacent) if you need a quiet place. You will receive a pass out to re enter the event again.

There is a small coffee outlet selling hot/cold drinks and limited snacks inside Brickvention, however please note that there is no table seating inside.

Just outside the entry/exit there will be a variety of food trucks with food and drinks available for purchase. We are also adjacent to the Carlton Gardens which is a lovely spot to enjoy a bite to eat and relax. You will be able to receive a pass out to re enter Brickvention afterwards.

Please note that the food trucks will not be available after the close of the event.

There will be a number of vendors at Brickvention selling all sorts of LEGO and LEGO related items. 

In addition, the Brickvention Merchandise stand sells Brickvention themed products for you to remember your visit.

Brickvention tickets at the door (if available) can be purchased with Cash or Credit/Debit Card.

Brickvention Vendors accept Cash and / or Card at their discretion. We recommend having both available if you are looking to purchase from our vendors.

No, there is nowhere to store belongings during the event.
